Honoring Maggie Bowles with the M7 Workout at The PHNX Collective & Venue
Last Friday, our community gathered at The PHNX Collective & Venue for one of the most meaningful events of our year: the M7 Wonderwoman workout, created in honor of Maggie Bowles.
Maggie’s life was tragically cut short eight years ago, but her spirit of kindness, energy, and connection lives on. Every year, this workout is a way for us to remember Maggie and commit to living with the same compassion and joy she embodied.
The M7 Workout Experience
The M7 is designed not just to test fitness but to bring people together, encourage interaction, and create an environment of positivity and teamwork—values Maggie embodied so well.
This year’s workout:
With a partner(s), complete for total number of rounds and reps in each AMRAP:

Each AMRAP encouraged athletes to partner with new people, high-five often, and celebrate every rep together—just as Maggie would have wanted.
Maggie’s Kindness Foundation
Maggie’s legacy is carried forward through Maggie’s Kindness Foundation, whose mission is to:
Promote kindness among young athletes through sportsmanship
Support student-athletes with scholarships
Help children and their families through emotional and medical crises
The foundation has already raised over $100,000 for the Children’s Pediatric ICU, proving that Maggie’s spirit of compassion is still making a powerful impact.
A Day to Remember
Every rep completed, every teammate encouraged, and every smile shared was a reflection of what Maggie stood for. As Shawn, Maggie’s father, shared:
“Maggie’s legacy lives on through @maggieskindnessfoundation, which has raised over $100,000 for the Children’s Pediatric ICU. We are thankful Maggie’s story continues to be shared. Thank you @crossfittrussville friends for coming together and choosing to ‘love othos.’”
