THE SPORT

HYROX is the world's fastest-growing fitness race — and now it's a regular class at CrossFit Trussville. On race day, the format never changes: run 1 kilometer, complete a workout station, repeat eight times across 8km total.

In class, we train the movements, pacing, and fitness that race day demands — sled work, rowing, carrying, running conditioning, and the station-specific strength that separates finishers from competitors. You build the engine in class. You use it on race day.

No qualifications. No experience required. Just show up, work hard, and get better every week.

You're never required to race. But most people who train HYROX consistently for a few months want to. When that day comes, we help you pick the right event, the right division, and peak at the right time. The global leaderboard is waiting — and so is your PR.

Questions

  • Not at all. HYROX is designed for everybody. If you can run and you're willing to train, you can race. The Open and Doubles divisions use moderate weights that are accessible to most fitness levels. Our coaches will assess where you are and build a training plan that gets you ready safely and efficiently — no CrossFit background required.

  • It depends on your current fitness, but most of our athletes feel genuinely race-ready in 8 to 16 weeks of consistent HYROX-specific training. Come in for a free intro and we'll give you an honest timeline based on your starting point and which division you're targeting.Description text goes here

  • Every HYROX session is fully coached — not a gym membership where you figure it out alone. You get structured programming that mirrors the race format, station-specific skill and pacing work, running conditioning, and accountability from coaches who have been doing this for over 17 years. Equipment includes Ski Ergs, Row Ergs, Echo Bikes, Farmers Carry implements, Wall Balls, sled work, and more.

  • HYROX races are held in major cities across the US and worldwide — including events in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, and beyond. No qualification is required to register. You sign up, pick your division, and show up. We'll help you find the right event and get your training timed to peak for race day.
