Your Goals. Your Plan.Personal Training
& Skill Sessions.
One coach. One plan. Built entirely around you. Whether you're chasing a specific performance goal, recovering from injury, or want to break through a specific movement plateau — CFT has a coaching option that fits.
Some goals need more than a group class. Personal training at CFT is for athletes working toward something specific — weight loss, a fitness test, lasting health, sport performance, or a long-term goal that requires a dedicated plan and a coach who's entirely focused on you. Your coach builds your program from scratch, tracks your progress, and adjusts as you go. This isn't a drop-in experience. It's a commitment to a goal with someone in your corner for the whole thing.
- Weight loss, fitness tests, sport performance, lasting health
- Custom program built from scratch around your goal
- Progress tracked and plan adjusted session to session
- Injury recovery with dedicated coach support
- Members and non-members welcome
Not every gap requires a long-term program. Sometimes you just need 30 or 60 minutes with a coach who can fix your snatch, clean up your clean and jerk, get you your first butterfly pull-up, or finally make rope climbs feel efficient. Skill sessions are one-off, movement-specific sessions built entirely around the thing you're trying to unlock. You come in with a problem. You leave with a solution — or at least a significantly better version of what you walked in with.
- Snatch, clean & jerk, and Olympic lifting mechanics
- Butterfly pull-ups, kipping, muscle-ups, rope climbs
- Double-unders, handstands, gymnastics skills
- 30 or 60 minutes — members and non-members

Every variable yours.
Personal training at CFT is not a group class with extra attention. It's a fully individualized program designed from the ground up around your specific goals, your body's capabilities, and your schedule.
Your coach programs every session. Every movement is chosen for a reason. Every load is calibrated to where you are and where you're going. If something isn't working, it gets changed. If you're ahead of schedule, the plan gets harder. Nothing is static.
Sessions are available whenever fits your schedule — morning, midday, evening, or weekend. Personal training is available to both CFT members and non-members.
Coming back from surgery, a long layoff, or a chronic issue that group classes haven't accommodated well. Your coach works directly with your limitations and builds around them — not through them.
Race prep, competition, a specific lift PR, or a physical milestone you've been chasing. Personal training builds a program around a defined outcome with a timeline attached.
Some people simply want coaching that's entirely focused on them — no class dynamic, no shared attention, just one coach and one athlete working toward one outcome.
Skill SessionsOne movement.

Skill sessions are 30 or 60 minutes focused entirely on a single movement, lift, or skill. No warmup detour. No cooldown chat. Just focused, expert coaching on the specific thing you're trying to unlock.
"My 1:1 plan was exactly what I needed to break through my plateau. I’ve never felt stronger ormore confident."

QuestionsAbout personal training
at CFT.
-
No. Personal training and skill sessions are available to both CFT members and non-members. You can train 1-on-1 with a CFT coach without enrolling in any group program. Contact us at info@crossfittrussville.com to set up your first session.
-
Sessions are scheduled directly with your coach at a time that works for both of you. There's no fixed class time — your schedule is the schedule. Morning, midday, evening, and weekend slots are all available depending on coach availability.
-
In a group class, your coach manages 10-15 athletes simultaneously — it's excellent coaching, but the attention is distributed. In personal training, every decision in the session is made specifically for you. The programming, the load, the movement selection, the feedback, and the pace are all built entirely around your body and your goals. It's a fundamentally different experience.
-
Skill sessions are available in 30-minute and 60-minute formats. For most specific movement skills, 30 minutes is enough for meaningful improvement. For complex movements like the snatch or clean and jerk where multiple positions need attention, 60 minutes is typically more productive.
