Built for 60+

Legends.

Built for adults 60 and older who want strength, balance, and stamina for life. Light weights, mobility work, and coaches who understand how to train smart at any age. Three days a week. 45 minutes. Everything you need to keep doing everything you love.

The Legends Mission

"Strength, balance, and stamina for life. Not for a season. For every year ahead."

What Is Legends

Designed for
where you are now.

Legends is CrossFit Trussville's dedicated program for adults 60 and older. It's not a modified version of something else — it's a program built specifically around the fitness needs, goals, and movement patterns of people who want to stay strong, independent, and active as they age.

Every session is 45 minutes, three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00am. Every class is coached. Every workout is scaled to where you are — whether you've been active your whole life or you're just getting started.

No prior fitness experience required. No comparison to anyone else in the room. Just purposeful work, a supportive community, and coaches who know how to get results at any age.

01
Strength Training

Progressive resistance work that builds and maintains muscle mass — the single most important factor in staying independent and capable as you age. Scaled to your ability, never beyond it.

02
Balance & Coordination

Single-leg work, coordination drills, and proprioception exercises that reduce fall risk and keep you confident in everyday movement. One of the most underappreciated components of fitness after 60.

03
Mobility & Flexibility

Targeted mobility work that improves range of motion, reduces joint discomfort, and keeps you moving freely. Every session includes movement that makes daily life feel easier.

04
Cardiovascular Fitness

Low-impact conditioning that improves heart health, endurance, and energy — without the wear and tear of high-impact exercise. Enough to challenge you. Not enough to beat you up.

Why It Matters

Fitness after 60
is different.

The Science
Muscle Loss Is Real

After 60, adults lose 1–2% of muscle mass per year without resistance training. That's not inevitable — it's preventable. Legends is specifically designed to stop and reverse that process with the right training, the right loading, and the right coaching.

The Reality
Falls Are the Leading Risk

Falls are the leading cause of injury in adults over 65. Balance and coordination training reduces fall risk significantly. Every Legends class includes movement that directly addresses this — not as a checkbox, but as a priority.

The Truth
It's Never Too Late

The research is clear: strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness improve at any age with consistent training. Legends members in their 70s and 80s regularly achieve fitness benchmarks they didn't think were possible. You don't have to accept decline as inevitable.

Class Schedule

Three days.
Forty-five minutes.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00am. A consistent mid-morning schedule that fits naturally into your week without disrupting the rest of your day.

Three days a week is exactly the right frequency — enough to see real progress, not so much that recovery becomes an issue. Your coaches program the sessions to complement each other across the week.

Questions

Before your
first class.

  • No. Legends is specifically designed to meet you at your starting point, whatever that is. Many members join having not exercised in years — or ever. Your free intro is where your coach learns where you are and builds your program accordingly. There is no prerequisite other than willingness to show up.

  • Yes — and it's often one of the things that helps. Tell your coach about any joints, injuries, or limitations at your free intro. We also have on-site physical therapy through Resilient Physio Therapy at The PHNX Collective. Your coaches will program around your limitations, not through them.

  • Significantly. A typical senior fitness class at a gym is often unchallenging, uncoached, and unprogressive. Legends is a real program — structured, progressive, and led by coaches who know how to get results. The movements are scaled appropriately but the standards are not lowered. You'll work hard. You'll get stronger. It's just built around you.

  • Yes. Some Legends members also attend CrossFit or ReBoot classes. Talk to your coach about what makes sense for your goals and your body's recovery needs. A hybrid schedule can be a great way to build variety and additional fitness.
