Brian Farr Just Hit a 100 Week Streak at CrossFit Trussville

One hundred weeks. Not a hundred workouts. A hundred straight weeks of showing up. Brian Farr just earned a milestone that says more about who he is than any single number on the leaderboard, and he has been with us a little over two years, closing in on his third.

How Did Brian End Up at CrossFit Trussville?

In his own words:

"Most of you know me as Mr. Kimberly Farr. While I have explored many types of fitness throughout my life, group fitness was never my favorite. After attending a Barbells for Boobs event at CrossFit Trussville, I quickly realized the community was something special. I joined soon after and have been trying to beat my wife on the leaderboard ever since, with little success so far."

That is a common path here. Someone comes for an event, a friend, or a spouse, and the community does the rest. The workout gets people in the door. The people keep them coming back for 100 straight weeks.

What Does 100 Weeks of Consistency Actually Take?

For Brian, it took a mindset shift that most former athletes wrestle with at some point:

"Growing up in athletics, I always viewed weightlifting through a competitive lens. Over time, I have learned that the real competition is with yourself. Accepting that 38-year-old me is not 18-year-old me has helped me embrace modifications when needed, stay healthy, and keep coming back."

Read that again, because it is the whole secret. The people who last in fitness are not the ones who push hardest on any single day. They are the ones who scale when they need to, protect their health, and prioritize showing up over showing off. A hundred weeks does not happen without that discipline. Smart training beats heroic training every time, and Brian's streak is the proof.

Why Community Is the Difference

"The biggest difference in this journey has been the people and the community. Down South, we make three important choices: where we go to church, which SEC team we pull for, and where we work out. I am proud to call CrossFit Trussville my gym. In fact, based on my closet, you would think CrossFit Trussville was also my clothing sponsor."

He also wanted to make sure one person got named specifically: "Huge shoutout to Bridget 'No Rep' Hamilton for keeping me honest." Every gym needs a Bridget. Standards are what make the leaderboard mean something, and our coaches hold them for everyone, including Brian.

What Brian's Streak Says About Getting Fit

If you are looking for the secret to results, Brian's 100 weeks is it. Not a program hack, not a supplement, not a 30-day challenge. Two years of consistent, coached training in a community that makes showing up the easiest part of your day. That is what actually works, and it is available to anyone willing to walk in the door.

Congratulations on 100 weeks, Brian. Here is to the next hundred. And maybe, eventually, to catching Kimberly on the leaderboard.
