CrossFit Kids Is Here And It’s Already a Hit!

Last night marked the launch of something special: CrossFit Kids at CrossFit Trussville. It delivered everything we hoped for: movement, fun, encouragement, and a whole lot of smiles.

Led by Coach Sophia, a CrossFit coach and registered dietitian, our Tuesday and Thursday evening classes are already full. That’s no surprise. This isn’t just about fitness. It’s about positive leadership and building confidence from a young age.

This class gives kids a safe and structured way to move their bodies, make friends, and develop habits that support a lifetime of health.

What is CrossFit Kids and How Does It Work?

CrossFit Kids is a fitness program designed specifically for children. It uses age-appropriate movements, games, and skill-building activities that help improve coordination, balance, strength, and agility.

Every class includes:

  • Coaching in a fun and energetic format

  • A capped class size for safety and attention

  • Encouragement in every interaction

  • A focus on growth, not comparison

Kids are not just working out. They are gaining the tools they need to enjoy fitness and build confidence.

Is CrossFit Safe for Children?

Yes. Especially when led by trained coaches who understand movement development.

At CrossFit Trussville, our focus is on good form, healthy movement patterns, and teaching kids how to move well. Every movement is scaled to the child’s age and experience. It is always about doing things right, not doing things fast.

Why Do Families Love CrossFit Trussville’s Kids Program?

Because they see the impact at home, in school, and beyond the gym.

  • Kids are excited to come back each week

  • They build real strength and coordination

  • They receive encouragement from a coach who knows how to lead them

  • They leave class feeling proud and energized

Our program is built to support kids of all personalities and ability levels. It gives them a place where they belong and can thrive.

When and Where Are Classes Held?

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 PM

  • Located at our new facility in downtown Trussville

  • Classes are capped for safety and engagement

Who is the Coach?

Coach Sophia leads the CrossFit Kids program. She is both a CrossFit coach and a registered dietitian, which means she understands both movement and nutrition. Kids love her energy, and parents trust her experience. She helps every athlete feel seen and supported.

What Ages Can Join?

Most athletes are in elementary or early middle school. The key factor is maturity and readiness to follow instructions and engage in a group setting. If your child is eager to move and can stay focused during class, they will do great.

Does CrossFit Help Kids Build Confidence?

Yes, and that is one of the main reasons we offer it.

CrossFit Kids gives children the chance to:

  • Try new things in a positive environment

  • Set small goals and reach them

  • Learn how to encourage others

  • See their own growth over time

That confidence often shows up outside the gym, in school and in everyday life.

What Makes CrossFit Trussville a Great Choice?

  • Small class sizes with lots of attention

  • Coaches who care about both fitness and development

  • A new facility designed with safety in mind

  • A community that celebrates effort and growth
