A Ribbon Cut, A Chapter Closed, A New Era Begins

Two weeks ago, something special happened.

We stood in front of our brand-new gym at The PHNX. Scissors in hand. Surrounded by members, coaches, friends, the Trussville City Council, and our mayor. And when the ribbon fell, it marked more than just the opening of a building — it marked the end of a two-year chapter defined by grit, resilience, and unshakable community.

From the Church Floor to a Dream Rebuilt

In 2023, after the fire, we didn’t quit. We found a home at Gateway Church and adapted to a rhythm of Friday night set-ups and Sunday teardowns. For two years, we coached our hearts out with a borrowed roof overhead and equipment we moved weekly. We didn’t have a building, but we had each other — and that was enough.

But this ribbon cutting? It was more than ceremonial. It was a sigh of relief. A full breath after a long uphill climb. It was the moment we saw that all the sacrifice, all the patience, all the "make it work" moments — they led to this.

We’re home now. And it’s better than we imagined.

A Morning to Remember

The sun was out, the energy was high, and you could feel the pride radiating from everyone there. City leaders shook hands with longtime members. Kids ran around the patio. Coaches swapped stories about what it was like training in a church hallway or out on the sidewalk. It was joyful, grounding, and emotional all at once.

Our new home at The PHNX isn’t just a gym. It’s a place where stories start. Where strength is built. Where people become who they’re meant to be.

We’re beyond grateful for the support — from the city, from our members, and from everyone who believed in what we were building before there were even walls.
