  • AaR: Add a Rep, usually seen as EMOTM AaR
  • AMRAP: As Many Reps As Possible (or As Many Rounds As Possible)
  • AOM: Athlete of the Month
  • BJ: Box Jumps
  • BR-BrP: Bar Facing Burpee
  • BO-BrP: Bar Over Burpee
  • BP: Bench Press
  • BrP: Burpee
  • BS: Back Squat
  • BW (or BWT): Body Weight
  • CF: CrossFit
  • CFT: CrossFit Total - consisting of max squat, press, and deadlift
  • CFWU: CrossFit Warm-up
  • C&J: Clean and Jerk
  • C2: Concept II Rowing Machine
  • DL: Deadlift
  • DNF: Did Not Finish
  • DU's: Double-Unders
  • FS: Front Squat
  • EMOM: Every Minute on the Minute (1 rep during minute 1, 2 reps during minute 2, etc.)
  • GHD: Glut Ham Developer (a piece of equipment that is used for sit-ups, back extensions, and hip-back extensions
  • GPP: General Physical Preparedness (aka "fitness")
  • HPC: Hang Power Clean
  • HPS: Hang Power Snatch
  • HSPU: Handstand Push-Up
  • SHSPU: Strict Handstand Push-Up
  • HSC: Hang Squat Clean
  • JPU: Jump Pull-Up
  • KB: Kettlebell
  • K2E: Knees to Elbows
  • KTE: Knees to Elbows
  • LRC: Legless Rope Climb
  • MetCon: Metabolic Conditioning Workout
  • ME: Maximum Effort (as many as possible)
  • MU: Muscle Up
  • MUHSPU: Muscle Up Handstand Push-Up
  • OH: Overhead
  • OHS: Overhead Squat
  • PC: Power Clean
  • PR: Personal Record (beat previous best)
  • PP: Push Press
  • PSN: Power Snatch
  • PsU: Push-Ups
  • PU: Pull-Ups (possibly push-ups depending on context)
  • Rep: Repetition (one performance of an exercise)
  • RC: Rope Climb
  • RX or RX'd: as prescribed or as written (WOD done without any adjustments)
  • RM: Repetition Maximum (your 1RM is the most you can lift for 1 rep, your 10RM is the most you can lift 10 times)
  • SDLHP: Sumo Deadlift High Pull
  • Set: A number of repetitions (3 sets of 10 reps, often seen as 3x10 or 10-10-10)
  • SN: Snatch
  • SqC: Squat Clean
  • SU's: Single Unders
  • Subbed: Substituted ("Jump Pull-Ups subbed" means athlete did JPU's instead of PU's)
  • TGU: Turkish Get-UP
  • TTB: Toes to Bar (hang from bar, bending only at waist raise your toes to touch the bar, slowly lower them and repeat)
  • WoD: Workout of the Day
